Maryline Roux
An artist, author, former Master world-class athlete, Kaiut yoga teacher and equine bodywork therapist
Maryline was born in West Africa in the Ivory Coast in the village Vieux-Badien. Born to an African mother and a French father, she left her birth country when she was almost one year old and spent the first 25 years of her life near Paris with her adoptive family, which she revisits in her upcoming memoir, Shadows of The Ivory. She moved to the United States in 1993 after meeting and marrying her American husband, Patrick.

Maryline has successfully completed Rocky Mountain School Animal Acupressure and Massage 107 hour prescribed course in Therapeutic Equine massage and is approved as a certified Equine Therapeutic massage therapist, ETMT since February 18th, 2025. Maryline Anna Roux grew up in a French home where her African roots were hidden. At 18 years old, after years of false-self-identity, living in a white world, she sought answers to the decades-old puzzle of her past. Decades later, she returned to Ivory Coast for the first time since she was born.
Despite the eruption of an abrupt civil war, Maryline reconnected with her African birth land and began her search for inner peace. Dedicated to the mother she never met and the father she lost early, Shadows of The Ivory reveals the story of a life lost half a world away.
